An introduction seems a good place to start, and yet. 

The intention was there. I spent over an hour trying to explain myself, describing my desire for a hobby and my utter disdain for playing competitive sports. (I am not a naturally gifted sportswoman and have no intention of becoming even an adequate one.) 

I had a blog years ago, which I nurtured and loved, but it became a source of discomfort. Too personal. I felt was giving myself away to people who did not deserve to know me. The blog was quietly put to bed. 

Writing that blog was joyous and I wanted that pleasure back. So here we are.
